Yolanda Martinez is a singer, songwriter, performer, and recording artist.  She is a Native American Apache / Hispanic born in Southern New Mexico.  Her Musical roots go back to her early childhood when she would sing with no instruments.  Her connection with nature and the natural rhythms of life are what brought her to make her first Drum in 1987.

 
In 1991 she started the Central Valley Women
s Moon Lodge Sisterhood in California.  She helped Women to connect with, know and honor the beauty of who they are.  She leads Drumming Circles and womens circles throughout the US and Europe.  Yolanda also performs Native American Programs for the Elementary and High Schools.

In 1993 she moved to Asheville, NC where she produced six of her seven CDs ranging from Drumming & Chants, Contemporary, Country, Latin, to wonderful World Music.  Yolanda is a NATIVE AMERICAN NAMMY/GRAMMY WINNER in 2004 for “BEST FEMALE ARTIST”.  She was also nominated in 2000, 2003, & 2007.

Yolanda started touring the US in 1994 with her first performance in Hunter Mountain, NY.  She did her first “NATIVE HEARTBEAT INTERNATIONAL TOUR 2005/06”. It was a huge success with Concerts in Norway, Italy and Switzerland.  She also did School Programs there for the schools. 

She now resides in NM and is working on new music and is still touring the US and Europe.
